The Terrapod includes several valuable alpine tools, including a built-in altimeter, barometer, thermometer, and compass. The altimeter makes it easy to determine your altitude, with a resolution of 1 meter/3 feet and a working range of -1,312 to 29,520 feet. The barometer, meanwhile, helps you forecast upcoming weather conditions, with a sea level and absolute barometer display and a 12-hour weather forecast icon. And should you want to know the current temperature, you can turn to the built-in digital thermometer, which offers a working range of 23 to 122 degrees F and displays in either Fahrenheit or Celsius.
The Terrapod also includes a digital compass to help you get your bearings in unfamiliar terrain. The compass includes such features as 16 cardinal point bearings, a digital true north arrow, digital compass calibration, adjustable declination, and accuracy to within plus or minus 10 degrees. Other details include a 12-/24-hour time display, a built-in calendar, a daily alarm, an EL backlight, water-resistance to 30 meters, an LED map light, and a user-replaceable battery.
